Thanksgiving is coming up quick! Yummy food and football are definitely worth looking forward to. However, it’s important to celebrate the true meaning of the holiday: being thankful for the good things in life. Cats are definitely are something we are appreciative of! But if Fluffy could list the things she is thankful for, what do you think would be on it? A Tampa, FL vet gives a few educated guesses below.

Beds

If there is one thing we can say for sure about cats, it’s that they’re very sleepy. Therefore, it’s no surprise to find beds at the top of Fluffy’s list.

Catnip

Fluffy’s catnip obsession will never stop being adorable. Get your kitty some catnip toys, or, better yet, give her a small catnip plant.

Window Seats

We recommend keeping kitties inside. Cats are both safer and healthier indoors, where they aren’t exposed to hazards posed by traffic, weather, stray animals, gators, or other dangers. However, Fluffy will appreciate a comfy window seat with a good view, so she can watch birds and squirrels.

Sunbeams

Our feline buddies run on cat food, not solar power, but we’re not sure they’ve realized that yet. Fluffy certainly does enjoy sunbathing!

Toys

Kitties are absolutely adorable when they are pouncing on catnip mice or batting at wand toys. Get your frisky feline a new plaything, and take time to play with her.

Boxes

Boxes would definitely earn a spot on Fluffy’s list. Offer your furry buddy an empty box to look adorable in!

Food

Did you know that some of our feline pals actually purr when they eat? Good food will definitely get that little motor going! Give Fluffy a special treat. Plain, cooked meat, fish, or poultry is fine, as long as you’ve removed the skin, bones, and fat. Your furball may also appreciate a can of tuna.

Clean Litterboxes

Cats prefer their powder rooms to be kept clean, and we can’t blame them. No one likes a dirty bathroom!

You!

Fluffy may have a reputation for being cold and aloof, but that really isn’t fair. Cats get very attached to their humans! It’s impossible to mistake that adoring look cats get when they feel content for anything other than kitty love.
